Nelumbo 'Pure Girl' is a 'bowl' lotus, with small, double white flowers, with a unique form.

This variety reaches 20 to 30 cm in height, with leaves 15 cm across and 10 cm flowers.

Product Details

Lotus grow vertically, so the surface area they cover will correspond to the size of the planting container. If planted in a mud bottom pond, they may become invasive.

Lotus are as hardy as water lilies, and even more vigorous. What this variety needs in order to prosper is sunlight, a sufficient volume of earth in which to grow, nitrogen-rich fertiliser, and a planting depth that does not exceed 10-20cm. Follow planting instructions carefully, lotus rhizomes are fragile.

This lotus may be planted in a mini pond, a bowl or a decorative pot 10-20L in volume. After 2-3 years they must be divided and replanted in those containers.
